This piece of work shows Buddha in meditation as the goal of ‘Sadhana’ is to attain some level of spiritual realisation, which can be either enlightenment, pure love of god or liberation. The dark background reflects our unconscious mind as Buddha penetrates our own darkness through spiritual awakening.

This painting tells us to keep Buddha’s Truth in the centre of one’s learnings. When cultivating the inner faculties one should make it the core of studies. The monk with folded hands is filled with faith and hope to walk the path of enlightenment.

This piece of work shows Buddha holding a beautiful lotus in hand. It means one must bloom like a lotus from amidst the swampy mire. The tiny seed of lotus knew that in order to grow it needed to be dropped in dirt, covered in darkness, and struggle to reach the light. Lotus is symbolic of purity of the body, speech, and mind in Buddhism.

This painting shows a ray of light through a dense forest. In Buddhism light from darkness is the practical science of spiritual awakening. Darkness is unconsciousness, light is consciousness. We must allow light to penetrate our inner darkness as light has the power to defeat darkness.

This painting depicts the bond between a baby elephant and its mother often described as the closest of any animal on earth.  Elephants always fascinated me and I wish to explore more through my artworks.

This painting shows Buddha in the state of Nirvana which is the common term used to describe the ultimate goal of Buddhist path. It is inspired from the reclining buddha in Songkhla, Thailand. Reclining buddha represents the final passage into nirvana, which is the state of nothingness to which some sects of buddhists aspire.

This piece of realistic artwork depicting an antique sewing machine is very close to my heart. It brings back fond memories of my mother sewing away...

This painting reinforces the importance of Buddhist scriptures called 'Sutras' in sanskrit. 

Among other hindu gods lord Ganesha has always been my most favourite and hence I created this painting as a tribute to my new journey as an artist since lord Ganesha is known as the god of new beginnings. I wish to create a whole new series in near future. 

Buddha is so much identified with meditation cause his posture is always in meditation. Dhyana is the hand gesture that promotes the energy of meditation, deep contemplation and unity with higher energy. The circling of energy created by the triangle (formed when the thumbs of the two hands touch) also promotes a cleansing of any impurities on an etheric level. This is a conceptual painting depicting Buddhist meditation in a cave like landscape.

This painting is a conceptual representation of a Buddhist in meditative posture seeing the reflection of Buddha of his own mind. When the virtues of the Buddha develops within, the lotus blossoms. Lotus in buddhism stands for purification. It grows in muddy water, and those working to rise above the murkiness needs to be faithful followers.

This painting inspired from Bodhi tree, tree of awakening under which Siddharta Gautama had attained enlightenment.

This piece of artwork depicts the journey of a soul from darkness to light. The Buddha’s last words were, “Be your own light.” All those who had followed his teachings understood that truth is the light. Seek the truth, and the truth shall set you free. Light from darkness is a practical science of spiritual awakening.

Prayer flags are inscribed with auspicious symbols, prayers and mantras. The buddhists plant the prayer flags outside their homes and places of spiritual practice for the wind to carry the vibrations across the countryside. Prayer flags are said to bring happiness, long life and prosperity. 

Traditionally, prayer flags come in sets of five colours - blue, white, red, green and yellow. Each of these colours are associated with five different elements like yellow with earth, green with water, red with fire, white with air and blue with space. Balancing these elements externally brings harmony to the environment whereas it brings health to body and mind when balanced internally. This painting with the prayer flags moving in the wind generates a natural positive energy.

I have a passion for portraits and I paint what inspires me. This painting is the sneak peak of a series of portraits that am currently working on using mixed media. 

This painting is a reflection of my inner self. On the way to finding the real self, one must not hold on to what you always had been now when you have transformed into a butterfly. Hundreds of golden butterflies gushing out from her bosom is a visual significance that reminds us of the secret of change, that is to focus all our energy not fighting the old, but on building the new!

This painting is my tribute to Ganesh Chaturthi celebration 2023. Its inspired from an old stone idol which I worship at my personal space. I invoke lord Ganesha as my favorite deity, a gateway to living my highest expression of who I truly am!

Shiva is another name for the Absolute Reality or the Absolute Consciousness that makes up our cosmos. Shiva is the transcendent aspect of cosmic consciousness, or the Source of everything and all that is.

I sketched ‘Mahadeva’ during Shravan 2023, fifth month of the Hindu calendar which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This auspicious month brings blessings, prosperity, and spiritual growth to devotees who participate in spiritual practices. Its the time for self-reflection, introspection and embarking on a divine journey.

This painting is depicted from a scene in Bhagavad Gita, scripture dealing with moksha i.e, freedom from the wheel of rebirth. This takes place on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, upon which two sides of a family - the Pandavas and the Kauravas - are preparing for battle. Here lord Krishna teaches Arjuna about moksha, true spirituality, manifesting divinity and overcoming suffering. ‘We are spiritual beings having a human experience’ says lord Krishna.

This festival celebrates Lord Shiva's marriage to Goddess Parvati, symbolising the union of the conscious (Shiva) and the unconscious (Parvati), and the creation of the universe. Ardhnareshwar, also known as Ardhanarishvara, is a Hindu deity that symbolizes the concept of duality and the harmonious balance between masculine and feminine energies. Ardhnareshwar is depicted as a composite form of the Lord Shiva and his consort, the Goddess Parvati. The left half of Ardhnareshwar's body represents Lord Shiva, who symbolizes masculine energy, while the right half represents Parvati, who symbolizes feminine energy. Ardhnareshwar is therefore considered to be the embodiment of both masculine and feminine energies which every human being possesses regardless of gender.
